The 2011 How Now Stakes will run tomorrow Saturday September 17, 2011, and here you can access the latest tips and betting information for the race.
The How Now Stakes 2011 will be run over 1,200 metres at Caulfield Racecourse and will be run under set-weight plus penalty conditions.
The current favourite for the 2011 How Now Stakes is Sister Madly, who is paying odds of $4.40 to win the race.
Sister Madly is making his spring return after a winter spell following her short autumn campaign in Sydney.
The five-year-old mare won the Group 3 Southern Cross Stakes before pulling up lame following her last place finish in the Group 1 The Galaxy.
Trainer John Sadler is hoping she can cement her excellent breeding with another Group 3 win in the 2011 How Now Stakes tomorrow.
“She’s a beautiful mare. She’s a high-class mare and we’re very lucky to have her in the stable,” said Troy Corstens, who initiated the purchase of Sister Madly.
“Segenhoe (Stud) and Kevin Maloney and Bill Mitchell paid $1 million for her but when you sit back and do the form she’s Group One-placed, she’s a Group Three winner and she’s a half-sister to a superstar (Silent Witness).
“It’s quite good value when you think about it.
“I know it sounds a lot of money. We go out and pay $600,000 or $700,000 for yearlings and we don’t even know whether they can run.
“We think that she’s definitely Group One, Group Two.”
However, we are tipping Peter Moody’s Avenue to win the $125,000 How Now Stakes.
Avenue has an almost perfect third-up record and Moody appears adamant that she can win the race.
